AvP fans rejoice! This Christmas you'll be able to catch Oomph!'s new song "Wach Auf" featured in the the second installment of the AvP movies, Aliens versus Predator: Requiem, (in theaters December 25th.)

Starting January 4th, the song will also officially be made available for purchase.

Over the years Oomph! has had the privilege of sharing the stage with many big-name bands, and tonight on July 5th at Rotundenplatz in Vienna Oomph! have been given the honor of opening for the legendary Metallica!

The first official Oomph! DVD is scheduled for release on July 13th and will feature music videos, Making-Of documentaries, interviews, a full live performance consisting of 23 songs recorded on May 23rd, 2006 at Berlin's Columbiahalle, as well as a so-called Fan Film.

After last year's unexpected dis-invitation from the 2006 Echo Awards due to the controversial single "Gott ist ein Popstar," Oomph! has made a triumphant comeback with a nomination for GlaubeLiebeTod in this year's National Rock/Alternative Group of the Year category. Along side them are Die Toten Hosen, Madsen, Mia, and Sportfreunde Stiller.

The Echo Awards will take place on Sunday, March 25th at the Palais am Funkturm in Berlin.



In addition, Marta Jandová will once again join Oomph! to take part in another competition on March 9th...only this time they'll be competing as one of the teams in TV Total's WOK WM, an annual downhill sled race featuring Chinese Wok pots instead of traditional bobsleds. Even if they don't win first place, it should definitely make for an interesting afternoon...
